I am a math center tutor at FRCC, and have privately tutored several students, ranging from high school algebra to calculus 3. I have taken and am able to tutor all algebra and trig classes, all college calculus (1-3), differential equations, linear algebra, and physics 1 and 2 (calc-based or algebra). I excel at explaining high level mathematics in a way that's easy to understand. I provide insights and problem solving techniques that might be missing from the classroom. When I'm tutoring, I try to hone basic math skills that a student may have lost in the sometimes overwhelming amount of new material that they are learning. Understanding the intuition behind math topics is important, and I try to relate math to a field that a student is interested in. That being said, I understand not all students are passionate about math. I'm able to explain what a student should focus on to ensure a good grade, and avoid having to take the class again.
