Education
I am currently enrolled in the Masters in English Education program at the University of Colorado- Boulder. I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2012 with degrees in English- Creative Writing and Women's Studies. While in high school, I took AP English and 2 AP Histories, scoring 4's on all of the tests. I am currently student teaching in a local high school and through this experience consider myself well versed in the AP Language test as well.
Experience
As an educator, I have worked for years in the K-12 classroom, though my undergraduate and master's degrees center me as an English/Language arts for grades 6-12 expert. I have mentored and coached kids ages 6-16 through various programs and sports. I currently have a 4.0 in my Master's Program, and I graduated with honors from the University of Georgia. My major GPA was 3.7. I tested in the top 95% in writing on the SAT, GRE, and LSAT and have always considered writing to be one of my greatest strengths. I worked as a journalist for several years while in college at UGA. I love working with students, and as I finish up my Master's Degree I want to apply my knowledge and skills as well as help students succeed in their own academic endeavors.
