Education
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Fort Lewis College (2010) Doctor of Philosophy Inorganic Chemistry, University of Texas at Austin (2016)
Experience
I have ten years of experience in Chemistry with 6 of those 10 years spent teaching. During that time I worked as a visiting instructor at the college level, developed a tutoring pilot-program at my undergraduate institution, and continue to seek out ways to teach and learn. I enjoy being able to help others connect the dots and see the big picture. I have experience in teaching general chemistry, inorganic chemistry and analytical chemistry. I've also had the opportunity to publish 8 papers in my field and 1 book chapter, so I would be able to help with scientific writing as well. I also would be very helpful for high school level chemistry, both regular and AP levels. GRE general: 500 verbal 700 quantitative

Hobbies
I Currently work as an R&D Scientist in gene editing research in Boulder, CO. I love to mountain bike and spend time outdoors with my wife. We are both avid fishermen and like to take the time to get away from town with our two dogs. I am a very hands on/visual aid type of person with my learning and teaching. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I always try to find the best ways to reach each student as an individual. It is very important to me to ensure a good fit between a tutor and student.
